How they describe themselves: Harborx brings fairness, simplicity, and fun to forex trading; conceived as a fintech startup with the mission to simplify currency trading (forex), making it fun and accessible to anyone with a smartphone.

Harborx’s vision is that time spent on a smartphone should not be wasted; instead, it should be used to perfect your trading skills while having fun and competing with friends and traders worldwide.

In addition to easy learning and a game-like experience, Harborx brings users the possibility of earning additional income, which can be easily withdrawn and spent.

How they describe their product/innovation: Harborx is a mobile app combining currency trading with gamification, making it easy and fun for beginners to trade currencies. As our unique requirements for the trading platform infrastructure made it impossible to rely on third party solutions, the Harborx team has built its proprietary trading engine with unique features.

By adopting micro-service design and latest container orchestration technology, our backend components are composed into a flexible, scalable, resilient backend trading system. We use MQTT protocol for streaming market and portfolio data. Tightly coupling user experience with social networking creates a new user experience for our clients.
